It was rough for Betsey Johnson last year but it’s 2013 and Betsey is coming back with a bang and a cartwheel. She has not only just announced that she will be showing at New York Fashion Week but she is also holding a showcase of vintage pieces this Friday at the Manhattan Vintage Clothing Show.
‘Betsey Johnson: Paraphernalia to Punk’ will showcase rare and unique vintage pieces from the designer, highlighting her trademark style: edgy prom queen petticoats, playful party dresses and sexy separates.
Pieces range from the 1960’s when Betsey Johnson first started designing the Paraphernalia collection from industrial materials to the 1990’s where the funky, cutesy dresses became her signature look.
The Manhattan Clothing Vintage Show is located at The Metropolitan Pavilion on 125 W 18th St. on Friday, February 1st from 1pm – 8pm and Saturday, February 2nd from 11am – 6pm. Prices for the Betsey Johnson collection range from $100 – $3,000, with most pieces under $500.
